Maine Black Bear Hunt 2009

Our group this year consisted of Stephen Peirano, Brian Summey, Dustin (Scooter) Garver and Chip Camp. All four hunters tagged out by the second night with Brian Summey taking the big bear for the week. Once the skull dries out and is measured, it may qualify for the record book!!

We once again hunted with  R and S Guide Service out of Perham Maine. Hats off to our awesome guides John Hechler, Amy Reed, Travis (T-Man) Drost and last but not least Russ Reed. The guide service boasted an impressive 100% clean shot record this year for its hunters and produced kills for 12 out of 13 hunters with one clean miss. That is mighty impressive!! Many many thanks to Lisa Reed for the wonderful moose stew and cornbread. Four southern boys "pigged out" for sure!!  Oh yeah.. As much I hate to admit it Amber Reed beat me at basketball this year. I still think changing the rules while I was on the phone is cheating!!

Outer Banks Duck Hunt 2009

 

We hunted in some wild weather this year. The weather for our Tuesday hunt was as close to a blizzard as I've personally experienced. Winds from the North at 30 MPH with gusts over 40. Air temps in the 20s and sideways snow made for a unique and exciting day in Currituck Sound. We managed to kill quite a few ducks, a beautiful Canada goose and two tundra swans. As always, Outer Banks Waterfowl did a great job guiding our hunt. Ellen, Vic and the whole crew are the best waterfowl guides in the business. Click their name above to check out their site!!

Kansas Pheasant 2008

Our first trip to Kansas was a blast. We managed to kill quite a few pheasants, a few quail and two unlucky rabbits. Mark and Troy Greene really showed us a great time and we look forward to hunting with them again sometime!!

Maine Black Bear 2008

We had an awesome trip to Maine this year. The hunting was great as was the hospitality. Thanks again to R & S Guide Service for working hard to provide us with a great hunt.

Turkey School 2007

Thanks to all of those who attended. The weather was great and I enjoyed meeting a lot of new folks. Our attendance was a little off this year but we still managed to have nearly 30 folks check in. A special thanks goes out to Brian Summey for all of his hard work.
